This one works a lot better, even if it isn't physically realistic.

Guy parts the sky - not finished
Guy was going to part the sky like Moses parted the sea...
But time did not permit to add decent clouds. I tried but they just weren't working.

The Moon
Here are some shots I took experimenting with various camera settings and environmental conditions.

First first aim was to find a picture of the moon for use in the project however I don't a tele-zoom lens so I can't zoom in far enough to get a suitably sized moon.
The second aim is to gain some understanding of how the moon interacts with the enviromental conditions around it, particularly the way light is affected.

The Moon
Since I want there to be a full moon in the scene I've taken some test footage of the moon taken with my camcorder to see how it would turn out.
Verdict: A bit too grainy. Although when shrunk down to YouTube size the graininess isn't so noticeable.
I don't think my camcorder is up to the job.

Location Photos
Today I did some location scouting for a grassy knoll. Quite possibly I may set this sequence at night in some field with a Megalith in the background so I'm going to do some experments using photo backgrounds.

I want a moon in the night sky so I've taken some images of the moon to use for reference. They're a bit small so I might not end up using them and generating a moon through other means instead.

At one of the locations I stopped at there was a kangaroo half beneath a bush, so I asked it "Are you dead?" and it tilted its head towards me.
"Ok then," I said "Get up and I'll take some photos of you."
So the kangaroo got up and I began snapping away, but the fence obstructed the view so I told the kangaroo to move to the left so I could get a clear shot - and it did!
